Early Childhood Education
As children develop across four closely related domains (social, physical, cognitive and emotional), optimal periods exist for caregivers to enhance a child's ability to thrive. Knowing where these opportunities lie and building on them is an important aspect of growth and development. Child Day Care Programs have a responsibility to provide children with these optimal growth opportunities.
The Early Childhood and Training Project supports child day care providers in their efforts to provide high quality care to over 20,000 children in programs across New York State, including Family Day Care, Group Family Day Care, School-Age Child Care, Day Care Centers, and Small Day Care Centers.
PDP's expertise and resources in the field of early childhood education includes the Educational Incentive Program (EIP), Provider Videoconference Training, Health and Safety Training (and Rebate Program), Medication Administration Training (and Rebate Program), and Regulatory Staff Training.
