Food Stamp Program Training
PDP has been providing continuous Food Stamp Program training services in New York State since 1981, and has also developed a variety of programs for workers in Vermont, Ohio, and Florida.
As a key part of the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance's statewide training resource system, PDP offers Food Stamp Program training through a variety of classroom and web-based programs and instructional supports. These provide requisite knowledge and skills to state, local social services district, and contracted provider staff who manage the Food Stamp Program in New York State. Programs range from a five-day residential Food Stamp Worker Training Institute, to web-based programs, to custom training for contracted audiences.
PDP's educational interventions for Food Stamp Program implementation include eligibility screening, eligibility interviews and determinations, use of specialized computer systems, on-going case maintenance and monitoring, and case closing and transitional support procedures.
