NYS Welfare Fraud Investigator Training Institute

Under contract with the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance and in collaboration with the New York State Police Academy, PDP has delivered this American Society for Training and Development award-winning five-day residential training institute since 1998 to welfare fraud investigators throughout New York State. A custom version of the program is delivered in New York City.

This performance-based training program provides a strong knowledge and skill base for local social services district welfare fraud investigators to optimize systems for detecting, investigating, and prosecuting welfare fraud. Topics such as gathering and weighing evidence, documenting an investigation, investigative interviewing, detecting fraudulent and counterfeit documents, and pursuing criminal and administrative penalties are co-delivered by PDP trainers and subject matter experts in these fields.
